Configure Manufacturer Inventory Status (In Stock & Backordered)
This guide explains how to customize "In Stock" and "Backordered" statuses for products based on manufacturer inventory data. These settings affect how products are displayed when using the Availability filter.
Please Note: Local inventory data is not affected by the stock quantity settings. If an item has “In Stock” local inventory, it will appear in the filter results. The manufacturer stock count and status are still available on the individual product page.
Accessing Manufacturer Inventory Settings:
Click Settings in the Account menu.
Select the Manufacturer Inventory tab.
Setting “In Stock” Criteria:
In the Minimum Stock Quantity for “In-Stock” Items field, enter the minimum number of units required for a product to be considered "In Stock" based on manufacturer data. For example, if you rarely receive items when the manufacturer has fewer than 5 units, enter "5". This prevents showing items as "In Stock" when they're likely unavailable.
Click Save Changes.
Setting "Backordered" (Coming Soon) Criteria:
In the Maximum Lead Time for "Backorder" Items field, enter the maximum number of days a product can be backordered before it's no longer shown as "Coming Soon." For example, to hide items backordered for more than two months, enter "60".
Click Save Changes.
