From the Shopify admin page, confirm the following information:

  • Track quantity: The product sync will set this to True if installed.

  • Continue selling when out of stock: The product sync will set this to True if installed.

  • Locations: Shopify store automatically assigns the default location when the connector creates the product.

  • Incoming inventory: The connector doesn't manage incoming inventory in Shopify.

    • Shopify allows managing this information using Transfers or other third-party integration.

  • Committed inventory: The connector doesn't manage committed inventory in Shopify.

    • Shopify allows managing this information using Orders or other third-party integration.

  • Available Inventory: The connector manages the available inventory according to the app.

    • Shopify also allows managing this information using Orders, Transfers, manual adjustments, or other third-party integration.

Please Note: Because the Shopify Connector syncs available inventory in 1-way, we don't recommend manual adjustments in Shopify.

4. Click Inventory from the menu to view products' inventory data by SKU and location.

  • Manage All: All inventory is managed by Wondersign. The connector will always update the product and variant inventory levels available.

    • Will always override the inventory in the ecommerce store.

  • Connector-Created Only: SKU inventory is updated for products and variants managed by the connector ONLY when Wondersign's inventory level is less than Shopify level, or the Shopify level is zero.

    • Will only override the inventory when it's lower than the inventory in the ecommerce store.

  • Unmanaged (default): Inventory is not managed by the connector. (This is the default setting.)

    • Will never override the inventory in the ecommerce store.

Next, configure your Device Settings for Inventory.

1. From your device's overview page, click the Settings tab.

6. Configure how the inventory sync will send data to the Shopify store.

inventory
  1. Show Stock Quantity: Disregard. The Connector Inventory Sync doesn't use this setting.

  2. Inventory Data: Required. This controls what inventory data you want to sync to your website. Choose from the options:

    1. No Inventory Data: The connector will not sync inventory with Shopify.

    2. Local Inventory Only: The connector will only sync Local inventory with Shopify.

    3. Manufacturer Inventory Only: The connector will only sync Manufacturer inventory with Shopify.

    4. All Available Inventory (Local + Manufacturer): The connector will sync both Local and Manufacturer inventory with Shopify.

  3. Define priority and visibility of available locations: This setting includes a list of local and manufacturer locations. Each location has a Toggle button:

    • When ON, the connector will sync the location inventory with Shopify.

    • When OFF, the connector will not sync the location inventory with Shopify.

      Please Note:
The list order doesn't affect how the connector will sync the inventory with Shopify.

  4. Inventory Filtering: Disregard. The Connector Inventory Sync doesn't use this setting.

Please Note: The connector considers SKU when syncing inventory to Shopify. If you turn OFF one location, but the SKU is present in another, the connector will only sync the SKU inventory for the location set to ON (excluding the quantity from the location set to OFF).

7. Select Save Changes once complete.
