All-In-One Flex Kiosk: Installation and Setup Guide (22" - 27")

Step-by-step setup for your FLEX kiosk, from unboxing and hardware assembly to network connection, automatic app installation, and account enrollment. Includes the correct first-boot prompt selections and how to confirm the kiosk is live.

Before you begin

Confirm you have the following on hand:

  • Kiosk components — Display module, power adapter, and power cord

  • Network access — A stable Wi-Fi connection or a wired Ethernet connection

  • A Wondersign account — Your account credentials, or access to my.catalogkiosk.com

Note: Assemble your stand or mount and place it in its final position before you begin, following the instructions included with it. This guide covers the display module only.

Assemble the hardware

  1. Unbox and verify contents. Remove the FLEX 3 display, power adapter, and regional power cords from the box. Confirm all items are present before proceeding.

  2. Remove the rear covers. Lay the display face-down on a soft, level surface and detach both rear shells to expose the mounting plate, cable channel, and I/O ports.

  3. Connect the power and route the cable. Plug the DC connector into the port and route the cable through the internal channel before reseating the covers.

  4. Secure the display. Fasten the display to the mount using the screws on the mounting plate.

Note: The FLEX display mounts in either landscape or portrait orientation — both are fully supported. Choose whichever suits your installation. The photos in this guide show both; your kiosk may differ, and that's expected.

  5. Power on. Press and hold the power button 2–3 seconds. Confirm the kiosk boots to the Welcome screen.

Complete the initial device configuration

On first boot, the kiosk runs the standard Android setup. The only thing it needs is network access — the kiosk is provisioned automatically by serial number as soon as it reaches a network, which is what triggers the download of your catalog and the Catalog Kiosk App. The remaining account prompts can be dismissed.

Connect to your Wi-Fi network, or confirm the connection if the kiosk is wired via Ethernet.

Then respond to the remaining prompts as follows:

Skip PIN and fingerprint setup

⚠️ Do not set a PIN or fingerprint during setup.
If a PIN is configured and the kiosk is later locked or restarted, it will prompt for that PIN before it can be used. If the PIN is unknown, it cannot be cleared remotely — the device shows as offline in the management console. Always select Skip at the PIN and fingerprint prompts. If a PIN has already been set and you don't know it, contact Wondersign support.

Wait for the Catalog Kiosk App to install

Once the prompts are complete, the Android home screen appears. There's nothing for you to do here — the kiosk registers with Wonder automatically and the Catalog Kiosk App downloads and installs on its own. This usually takes 2–3 minutes.

Note: The kiosk shows no on-screen progress while it installs. An idle home screen is normal. Do not power off or restart the kiosk during this time.

The app is ready when it opens on its own and locks the display into Kiosk Mode — it fills the screen and can't be exited. The activation screen appears with a pairing code:

Enroll your kiosk

With the Catalog Kiosk App on screen, link the kiosk to your account using one of the two methods below.

Method A — Pairing code

  1. Locate the pairing code displayed on the kiosk.

  2. Sign in to https://my.catalogkiosk.com/ from a separate device.

  3. Enter the pairing code to associate the kiosk with your account.

Method B — Account credentials

  1. Select the credentials option on the kiosk.

  2. Enter your Wondersign account email and password.

  3. Click on Activate Device.

The kiosk connects to your account and loads your catalog.

Note: If you don't have your account credentials or access to the dashboard, contact Wonder support, and we'll help you enroll the kiosk.

Confirming a successful setup

The installation is complete when the kiosk displays your Wondersign catalog in Kiosk Mode and responds to on-screen interaction. The device is now ready for customer use.

Contact Wondersign support if:

  • The Catalog Kiosk App hasn't been installed after several minutes.

  • The kiosk doesn't reach Kiosk Mode, or the activation screen never appears

  • The kiosk is locked with a PIN you don't have
