How to Set Rental Prices

Rental Pricing starts with setting up a Base Rule, followed by creating any additional Custom Pricing Rules targeted for specific attributes.

Getting Started

Base Rule

1. From the Dashboard, select Content from the top menu. From the dropdown, select Prices.

2. From the pricing page, select Manage Pricing Rules.

3. From the Price Lists, select to edit the Base Rule

4. After clicking on "Edit Base Rule," select Pricing Calculations and then select the Rental/Financing tab.

Please Note: If Rental Pricing is not enabled on your account, a notice will appear to Configure Your Rental Terms. Learn how to enable Rental Pricing and view Term Management settings.

5. Your Rental Terms will be displayed. Click on Please choose a base cost method, and a drop down will list all methods to choose from.

Please Note: You can edit the terms at anytime by clicking Configure Your Rental Terms in Account Settings.

6. Next, click Add Expression Here and you'll choose whether you'd like to create a mathematical expression and/or round expression for your pricing.

Your expression options include:

  • Mathematical
    • Turns
    • Multiply by
    • Add markup
    • Add gros margin
    • Subtract
    • Add
    • Divide by

  • Rounding
    • Round up to nearest

A live preview will appear in a box to the right that will show you how your pricing calculations will appear in the Base Rate and Displayed rate. You can incorporate both a mathematical and rounding expression in the calculations.

7. Once you have created your calculations, click Save. If you don't want to create any additional pricing rules, you are done! If you'd like to add additional pricing rules based on an attribute, continue to the next step.

 

Additional Pricing Rules

8. Go back to Pricing Rules, and under Everyday Pricing, click Add New Pricing Rule.

9. Create a Custom Name for your new pricing rule and click Save.

10. Next is Product selection. You can choose which products are included in the pricing rule by filtering products by any attributes. Add additional attributes to an attribute set to refine the selection. Every additional attribute creates more complex and exact structures. Choose to Satisfy ALL attribute sets for a narrower selection OR choose to Satisfy ANY attribute sets for a broader selection.

11. Click on the attribute for a drop down menu of all your available options.

    • Category
    • Consumer Brand
    • Direct Shipping
    • Manufacturer
    • Product Type
    • SKU
  • Prices
    • Cost (Base Price)
    • MAP
    • MSRP
  • Attributes

    • Featurs
    • Material
    • Mattress
    • Height
    • Rating
    • Seating Material

Here is an example of attribute sets for a pricing rule called Bedroom Pricing:

In this example, the rule is satisfying ANY attribute set, but the sets must follow ALL attributes. A box on the right will display the number of products targeted by this pricing rule. This will update as you create your attribute sets.

12. Click Save Changes.

13. Next, select Pricing Calculations then select the Rental/Financing tab.

16. Once you have created your calculations, click Save.
